【报告题目】Many-Body Localization : From Fundamental to Practical Applications
【摘要】Understanding quantum systems away from equilibrium is an outstanding challenge in the modern physical sciences.ETH-violating systems such as many-body localized(MBL) and many-body scars(MBS)apart from being fundamentally interesting,may open new avenues for the practical implementation of systems driven far from equilibrium.perhaps the most challenging problem in the MBL context is characterizing the MBL transition and its corresponding mobility edge.While crucial analytical contributions describe this transition as a continuous second-order phase transition most of the numerical studies cannot be matched with theoretical results.In this talk,I would apply a quantum information perspective to this inconsistency of numerical simulations with the theoretical one.Furthermore,after proposing a novel mechanism for localizing a many-body system,i would try to shed more needed light on the fate of MBL in long-range interacting systems and address the fate of the MBL in these ubiquitous systems.Finally, I would propose a novel application for MBL systems in quantum sensing.
【报告人简介】Dra.Roszha obtained her Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Kurdistan (2017), Kurdistan, Iran, working on quantum metrology. Postdoctoral fellow at University of Kurdistan (2018-2019). Currently, she is part of Prof. Abolfazl’s group in UESTC/Chengdu, leading research on non-equilibrium quantum phenomena such as Many-Body Localization (MBL) and Many-Body Scars (MBS) in strongly correlated quantum systems.
